My name is Loris S. Zecchinato and, as you will see, I love photography. The subjects I prefer are those familiar things that share a simple, innate beauty: nature, girls, and still life. Interestingly, I rarely seem to place the three things together.

I almost always take color photos and slides, using either 35mm (Contax 139 Quartz) or 6x6 medium format (Zenza Bronica S2A). To digitize the photos I use an Avision 660N scanner, with Adobe Photoshop for editing.

When I take photos I find it difficult to follow a preconceived plan. Instead, I follow my inspiration, capturing many images for each situation, so that afterward I can review and select those that present the best expression of the moment.

The sensations I feel seeing an image (whether it is a photo, a drawing, or in person) are very similar to those I feel listening to music; color and form are interchangeable with melody and harmony. My great desire is to be able one day to combine these two things..
